5. Content Created By Members
The views expressed in directly posted information from Members of the Pubs in Town site are those of the individual Member and not those of Pubs in Town or its ISPs.
(i) Members are asked not to contribute information which is abusive, obscene, defamatory, illegal, racist or otherwise undesirable, or in breach of any person's rights. Pubs in Town reserves the right to remove any such information at any time and without notice to any Member. Bona fide requests to remove defamatory content will be honoured, although we can give no guarantee to the time scale.
(ii) As this is a family-orientated site, Pubs in Town will, at its sole discretion, remove any bad language or explicit adult-orientated words or pictures in posted material, and may terminate your account without notice to you.
(iii) Pictures and photos posted on this site may be subject to copyright restrictions. 6. Subscription Expiry
When a Member's subscription expires, some of the Member's pages and content can no longer be edited by the Member. The Member's pages may be re-assigned by Pubs in Town to another Member, or may be placed in the 'free pool' to make the pages available to a new Member.
A grace period is normally applied after a subscription expires, during which the Member's pages and content may be protected from deletion or re-assignment. This grace period is currently 21 days, but may be changed, or removed, without notice, at any time by Pubs in Town. Pubs in Town reserves the right to withdraw the grace period for any Member, for any reason, without notice and without explanation.
In addition to a grace period, Pubs in Town operates a holding period of 2 months, during which expired pub pages will not have any further information removed by Pubs in Town (although pages may still be adopted by other Members and details edited or removed by them). The holding period may be changed, or removed, without notice, at any time by Pubs in Town.
Following the holding period for pubs, the following information will be automatically edited:
  • the pub email address and contact name will be deleted
  • the pub gallery photos will be deleted
  • the pub events and photos will be deleted
The pub page itself will be removed from the Member's account and placed back into the 'free pool', or may be deleted at that point in time, or at any time in the future if not claimed by anyone else.
7. Automatic clean-up system
Subscription clean-up (existing members): Pubs in Town will regularly delete Pub Owner and Pub Goer accounts where a member has not confirmed their email address for over 12 months. We will send you two reminders before we delete your account: the first reminder is sent 14 days before deletion, and the second reminder is sent 2 days before deletion. To keep your account, you must respond to the email reminder. Once you have re-confirmed your email address, your account will not be automatically deleted.
Subscription clean-up (new members): New Pub Owner members must log in within 7 days of joining Pubs in Town. We will send regular reminder emails to new Pub Owner members who have not yet logged in. If a new Pub Owner member does not login within 7 days of joining, we will automatically delete their account.
